| | I ran 1.4 miles according to my "sometimes works" pedometer. My timer said two sets of 10 minutes. After such a long break between my last run I felt like I couldn't make it less than 5 minutes into my run. I pushed through that and felt better at the 6 minute point. I haven't weighed myself but I feel so much better than when I started four weeks ago. I started out as a non-runner. I am not sure you would call me a runner now. I think I am a jogger with a goal of becoming a runner. |
| | The training schedule I am following was forwarded to all in-boxes and since I am a non-runner I decided to follow it. This schedule has me running 2 sets of 10 mins. 3 times this week. Not sure it is the best plan since I am very overweight. I am lasting longer than when I started so that's good, right? Will run again tomorrow. |

The wind brought me to my knees yesterday but it didn't blow me over. It is challenging to run against the wind. I am slow to begin with but I was even slower. I didn't know you could get any slower. Right calf always complains the most at the end of my sessions. Any advice on remedying that pain? | |
| | I had to stop and walk for a bit today due to numbing of my right foot. My calf didn't hurt as bad but what is up with the numbness? I felt good my first 10 minutes but the second set was a struggle. I finished though. I had to walk longer to get the feeling back in my foot. My left knee is also starting to give me problems. Old injury creeping back. It always feels good though to get out and run. I plan to walk tomorrow to help with recovery of knee. | |
| | I fast walked all of these miles since my knee was not up to par. I still felt good at the end though. Just a little calf stiffness but stretched it out. |
| | Yea! Two sets of fifteen minutes! I did it! I am a little sore though already. Calves were a little tight but not as bad as a few days ago. Knee is a little better; favoring the hurt one. Very nice day to be out. | |
| | Arrived home late Sunday night from a week of travel. I learned that I don't know how to run on a treadmill. The elliptical was easier to operate. The workout felt different. Back to the road on Monday; I sure hope I can do this. Especially with no real running while we were traveling. |
| |
Run cut short due to angry cows and I was wearing red! With all the traveling we've been doing and the long distance driving I didn't get out very much. I am feeling it. It feels like it was too long between sessions and I need to start over. |
| | Combo of running and walking. Right calf and foot pain today. Scretched before, during and after. I am actually getting off the ground now a little higher than before. I hope that means my legs are finally starting to remember how to run. Weight is still hovering around 200. Somedays it is under; my goal was to be under 200 by June and around 180 by September. I feel good though. |
| | Very little running; mostly walking. Right calf pain seems to be worse than earlier in the week. I am going to get new shoes. In the meantime I just plan to keep walking through the pain. | |
| | All walking miles. Right calf is still in pain even when I walk. It is disappointing. |
| | Weather was nice. Ran a little faster than last time. Feeling good after run; not immediately after. |
| | Had company today; sort of. My husband and I took the same road. It was hot but enjoyed the run/walk. |
| | I may have completed 6 miles today. I didn't take my pedometer on my morning hike. It was okay. Not great. |
| | My husband and I walked most of these miles. It was a nice walk. Got the heart rate up but not too high; a little perspiration. |
| | I am stuck. I can't seem to run more than 1 or 1.5 miles. I walked most of the six miles. I stop because of pain in my calf or old knee injury. My time was 1 hour and 55 minutes. I welcome any suggestions anyone has to give. |
| | Walked most of these too. It was a beautiful morning though. I shaved 7 minutes from this route. |

| | Cloudy with a little breeze. Nice two miles. I actually was able to jog most of the two miles. Yea! Progress. |
